Job Description Job Description Financial Analyst (Interim Assignment) Duration: 3 Months (Potential for extension) Location: Midland, MI - In Person Wage: $49/hr The Opportunity: We are seeking a high-caliber Financial Analyst to join our team for a critical three-month engagement. This isn't just about "keeping the lights on". You will be the analytical engine behind our financial reporting, providing leadership with the insights needed to drive growth across multiple entities. If you are a GAAP-proficient professional who thrives on building models, automating workflows, and translating complex data into actionable strategy, this is the role for you! Responsibilities: Strategic Reporting & Analysis: Own the multi-entity consolidation process. You will transform raw data into a sophisticated management package, delivering key metrics and variance analyses that compare performance against budget and historical trends. Liquidity Management: Take the lead on our 13-week rolling cash flow forecast. By partnering with AP/AR, you will model scenarios, identify funding risks, and provide weekly liquidity snapshots to executive leadership. Operational Excellence: Support the Director of Finance in refining annual and rolling forecasts. You will dive into cost accounting/calculating labor/burden rates and managing standard cost updates within our ERP to ensure our margins are accurately captured. Audit & Compliance: Act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, preparing "audit-ready" workpapers and streamlining internal controls to ensure rigorous GAAP compliance. Systems Innovation: Use your expertise in Power BI and Excel to automate manual reporting, improve data hygiene, and enhance our overall master-data governance. Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). What You Bring to the Table: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 4 years of relevant experience. If you started your career in Public Accounting, we definitely want to talk to you. You have a solid grasp of manufacturing or laboratory/testing environments (2 years preferred), including experience with standard costing, WIP, and revenue recognition. You are an Excel power user (Index/Match, complex modeling) and have hands-on experience with Power BI and ERP systems like QuickBooks or Global Shop. You don't just find variances; you perform root-cause analysis and offer recommendations. You are culturally competent, collaborative, and able to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment.
