This role involves providing essential support during a federal evidentiary hearing, including trial preparation and courtroom assistance. The position is project-based, offering flexible hours with potential increases during the hearing period. Responsibilities: • Organize and maintain trial notebooks and exhibits to ensure seamless courtroom presentation. • Print, prepare, and transport legal documents required for hearings. • Offer direct in-person support during federal court proceedings. • Ensure all courtroom materials are properly assembled and available on time. • Adhere to federal court protocols while maintaining high standards of organization. • Utilize personal equipment for remote preparation tasks. • Complete pre-hearing preparation tasks remotely, ensuring readiness for courtroom activities. • Handle confidential materials with care and discretion throughout the project • Proven experience as a paralegal, with a focus on federal court or constitutional law cases. • Availability to attend all scheduled court dates, including extended hours during hearings. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to stay organized under tight deadlines. • Access to reliable technology for completing remote tasks efficiently. • Flexibility to adapt to shifting schedules and manage ambiguity in document sources. • Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality. • Familiarity with trial preparation tasks such as creating trial notebooks and exhibits.
