This engineer will be capable of taking charge and leading
electronics development for gateway ECU for CAN and ethernet
communication networks. Will work with minimal oversight, using
past experience to overcome challenges of moderate complexity.
Gateway ECU development includes management of communication
networks (such as CAN, CANFD, or ethernet), defining communication
network architecture, and validating the network bandwidth. It also
includes development of functionality related to over-the-air (OTA)
software updates and cybersecurity protection mechanisms.
- BSEE/BSME. 6 years of related experience may be substituted for
- Test engineer with over 5 years of test engineering experience
in required test and confirmation per area of specialty.
- Able to apply engineering principles, experience, and various
analysis tools to develop test plans/procedures to test design
parts/components per area of specialty to determine design
feasibility and ensure parts/components meet design acceptance
criteria, performance level targets, and any applicable
- Able to create data settings, test specifications/standards and
test schedule, prepare/setup test equipment, conduct moderately
complex tests, and document/summarize test results and conclusions,
verify test accuracy, and determine if additional testing is
- Competent to analyze/interpret test results, predict
performance/failure and provide required product/design data,
identify issues/develop countermeasures, communicate test results
clearly in written reports and formal presentations, and propose
design changes by recommending countermeasures based on analysis of
