Network Compliance Engineer

Job Description:

The NCE is responsible for working with an assigned set of clients to bring our established standards and best practices. Through regular standards audits and documentation reviews, the NCE provides the VCIO with information and knowledge about the clients' environments, technology needs, and issues. While the NCE is not responsible for making strategic recommendations to client directly, maintain a strong day-to-day relationship with the client contacts is vital.

Duties:
Perform a standards/alignment audit at a client
Resolve client alignment tickets
Take escalation from support department
Work with a client point-of-contact
Clean up client user and workstation lists
Audit client IT environment for best practice standards
Create/update client diagrams (network, racks, power, etc)
Update and refresh client technical documentation
Gather information for project scoping
Create and revise standards - participate in standards committee
Fill in for support if needed
Identify areas for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
Attend meetings
Participate in new client onboarding process
Generate client reports for review (inventory, etc)
Report on KPI's (hours, alignment tickets open/closed)
Handle escalation from a vCIO or client by making sure an issue gets taken care of
Design and maintain process documentation

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:
Is driven to improve and organize IT environments - not just "get them working."
Is looking for a challenge and not satisfied with "good enough."
Sets standards for themselves and is usually harder on themselves than others are.
Sees disorganization as a challenge rather than a deterrent.
Is an outgoing problem-solver who enjoys working with people but can work independently with minimal direction.
Is a strategic thinker who can adapt to changing situations while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
Has experience working with a solid mix of Microsoft servers, networks, storage, VOIP, etc and understand how all the pieces fit together to benefit a business.
Has an understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide services.
Technical certifications or degrees are a plus but not required.
