Job Description:
As a Mobile Diesel Technician at Ryder, you will play a crucial
role in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our
fleet. You will be an integral part of our mission to deliver
top-tier logistics and transportation solutions. Working in a
dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will leverage your
expertise in diesel engine systems to perform on-site repairs and
preventive maintenance, helping us to uphold our commitment to
innovation, efficiency, and unparalleled service. Perform emergency
and routine maintenance and repairs on various models of diesel
engines and associated equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical
and mechanical issues within diesel engines and related components.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations,
including environmental and safety standards. Manage inventory of
parts and tools required to perform daily tasks. Provide timely and
detailed service reports and documentation of all work performed.
Operate diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex problems and
determine necessary repairs. Educate and communicate with clients
and other team members on maintenance issues, repairs, and
preventive measures. Proficient knowledge of diesel engine
operation and components. Ability to use diagnostic tools and
software effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention
to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong
communication and customer service skills. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Diesel
Certification highly desirable. Valid Commercial Driver’s License
(CDL) or the ability to obtain one within a specified time frame.
Any additional certifications related to diesel engine repair and
maintenance.
