seeking a dynamic and talented Phlebotomist to join our team of
compassionate, dedicated professionals.POSITION SUMMARY:The
Phlebotomist performs preparation and routine laboratory specimen
collection on patients based on physician orders.Duties will
include properly preparing blood and urine specimens for transport
to the testing facility while keeping an up to day log sheet with
the date the specimen was obtained/initialed.Responsible for
correctly preparing requisitions to send to the Lab as well as
forwarding copies of infectious processes and all cultures to the
Infection Prevention RN and Pharmacy.Routine duties will include
stocking units with needed laboratory supplies upon request which
may include requisitions, labels, urine bottles with proper
preservative and instructions, sterile and routine UA cups, culture
swabs and plastic bags.Other duties may include assisting with
training nursing staff in venipuncture skills.WHAT DO OUR CURRENT

equivalent required.Completion of a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy
Course preferred.Experience: Previous phlebotomy working experience
(beyond training) in venipuncture, specimen handling
required.Additional Requirements:Employees must be in good standing
(employment/corrective action history, performance evaluation, etc)
to be considered for internal transfers.Work Hours:Part-Time, 20
