Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Float/Step Down Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Michigan license verification required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Must-Have: - Willingness to work on holidays - Comfortable with floating between units - Recent skills checklist for RN specialties completed within one year of application Job Description: - Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship and develop a detailed plan of care with the patient and family, determining the most important aspects of care collaboratively. - Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions to promote optimum achievement of established goals. - Initiate and maintain open communication with other team members to ensure that the patient and family receive comprehensive interdisciplinary services with a coordinated and integrated plan of care. - Communicate effectively with patients, families, subordinate staff, and peers to ensure that plans and associated interventions are understood, implemented, and revised as necessary. - Full-time employees within the specified organization are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment. - Weekend work required every other weekend. - Physical copies of certifications are required where specified.
