Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 0600-1430 or 0600-1630 Hours per Shift: 8 or 10 Experience: Must have at least 1 year of prior cardiac OR experience in a hospital setting. License: Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Cardiac scrub experience is required. - Must be able to assist with other surgical cases when no cardiac cases are scheduled. - Must have experience with CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting), heart valve replacements/repairs, LIMA/RIMA (Left/Right Internal Mammary Artery grafting), atrial appendage clipping, and lead extractions. Description: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures the implementation of those solutions. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities are necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit or department. Possesses the ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing and BLS is required.
