Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work under supervision of Med-Surg Nurse Manager • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care according to established policies and procedures • Complete nursing assessments and document appropriately in patient charts • Develop and implement patient care plans based on assessments • Evaluate patient responses to care and update care plans accordingly • Oversee delegation of patient care specifics to unit staff • Accept responsibility for directing co-workers in implementing patient care plans • Every other weekend and holiday schedule required • No on-call responsibilities • 2 years of Med Surg experience required • Strong orthopedic experience required • Active American Heart Association BLS certification required • Active Michigan nursing license required • Skills checklist current within one year required • Two supervisory reference forms completed within last two years required • All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical-surgical unit that provides high-quality patient care using evidence-based nursing practices.
