Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Home Health Care is a
licensed healthcare professional who works under the supervision of
a physical therapist, providing direct patient care in their homes
by implementing treatment plans through exercises, manual therapy
techniques, and education to help patients regain mobility and
function following injury, illness, or surgery, while closely
monitoring progress and reporting findings to the supervising
physical therapist; responsibilities include patient assessments,
administering therapeutic modalities, instructing patients and
caregivers on home exercise programs, and maintaining detailed
documentation of patient progress.
