Job Description Job Description Location: Monroe, MI 48162 Start Date: ASAP Caregiver Rate: $20.83/hour We are seeking a dependable and compassionate male helper to provide companion care for Mr. John Boyd , who is living with early-stage dementia . He is mostly mobile but often lies on the floor, and benefits greatly from encouragement, engagement, and gentle assistance to stay active and motivated. This role focuses on companionship, movement, and safety support in a respectful and supportive home environment. Care Responsibilities Provide companion care and meaningful engagement Encourage movement and light walking around the home Play games and participate in activities to keep him engaged Sit with and supervise Mr. Boyd to ensure safety Assist him in getting up safely when he is on the floor Schedule Twice per week Preferred days: Monday and Wednesday 2–3 hours per visit (between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM) Helper Preferences Patient, encouraging, and physically able to assist with getting up from the floor Experience with dementia care is a plus This position is a great opportunity for a helper who values companionship, motivation, and respectful support for individuals experiencing cognitive changes.
