Radiology Tech Location: Detroit, MI Agency: Mindlance Health
Pay: $2,110 per week Contract Duration: 26 Weeks Start Date:
3/9/2026 About the Position ID: 75839758 Shift: 5 -8hour days.
7a-3:30pm, Every other weekend Rotation Duration: 13 Weeks
Interview Type: MS Te Description: GENERAL the direction of a
Radiologist, performs Radiologic procedures for the evaluation of
pathological entities as ordered by a physician. Performs related
functions according to department protocols. Utilizes independent
judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques,
positioning, and safety practices.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Explains examination procedure to patients and
prepares patient for the examination.2. Reviews clinical data on
requisition and performs appropriate examination. Obtains
additional information about the patient medical history, as
necessary.3. Prepares procedure room and regularly replenishes
stock such as linen and related supplies.4. Analyzes anatomical
structure of patient, sets up equipment and performs the Radiologic
procedure. Manually controls the equipment to obtain the proper
diagnostic information from the area of the body being studied.
Utilizes patient immobilization as needed.5. May select and
administer intravenous contrast media. Monitors patient for
possible reactions as appropriate to the study and provides
immediate care to patient if a reaction should occur.6. Performs
all imaging procedures by demonstrating the principles of radiation
protection: may involve shielding of patients, selection of
appropriate equipment settings to reduction dose, using other ALARA
techniques, etc.7. May prepare and set up sterile equipment,
monitors, and supplies required for the procedure to be performed.
Follows department infection control practices and techniques.
Ensures the adequate supplies are on hand and properly stored.8.
Follows department standards for performing patient care functions
as required for optimal patient safety, privacy, confidentiality,
comfort, and legal/ethical rights.9. Completes all necessary work
sheets, logs, patient records, and documentation.10.When needed,
assumes the responsibility of teaching/educating new hires
andstudents while maintaining one s own responsibilities and
duties.11.PACS: resolves any/all image exceptions and ensures high
quality image delivery into PACS; including viewing of images into
PACS and confirming image/series counts.12.RIS: completes all study
indexing; including study begin, study end, and the completion of
the study in the Radiology Information System13.Reviews and
confirms as necessary with Radiologist clinical protocols before
preforming study.14.Demonstrates on a consistent basis Team member
standards of excellence including AIDET, open communication,
responding in a timely manner, displaying a positive attitude,
fostering innovation, respecting diversity, etc.15.Performs all
documentation in the medical record as necessary, as well as within
the radiology information system to support all clinical and
billing functions. Schedule Notes: Duration: 13 Weeks Interview
Type: MS Teams or Phone Interview Duration: 15 minutes Interview
Team: Manager, Supervisor and possible lead Tech Responsibilities:
Will be assigned to an area (ER or OR), Will do portable, young and
geriatric. Hours: 5 -8hour days. 7a-3:30pm Every other weekend
Rotation Shifts: M-F and Every other weekend. On - Call: No Block
Scheduling: No Certifications: ARRT - RT Min. Years Exp: 2 years
Must have: level I or II Trauma experience, in OR. Technology: GE,
Carestream, OEC C-Arms, Cerner Epic (Y/N): NSkills: PHYSICAL
DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Work in the hospital with a fixed unit
and/or in the IPD/OR/ER, etc. with a mobile unit. May be
potentially exposed to radiation if proper precautions are not
utilized. May be exposed to high-voltage equipment. May be exposed
to potentially contagious patients. Occasionally may lift and/or
move equipment and/or patients that would be in excess of 10
lbs.Education: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Diploma
or G.E.D. equivalent required. Must maintain the required hours of
continued education.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Must be
registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic
Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible. If registry eligible,
registry must be obtained within 6 months of date of hire.
Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).Must meet or
