Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Degree in Radiologic Technology,
Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and
minimum 1 years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who
do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
Radiologic Technologist position is available within a dynamic
healthcare environment, specializing in imaging and radiology
services. This role requires expertise in X-ray technology and
fluency in Fluoroscopy, particularly GI studies, as well as
proficiency in outpatient and ER examinations. The technologist
will work under the supervision of a radiologist, performing
diverse radiologic procedures essential for accurate diagnosis and
patient care. Location: Position based in Detroit, MI, offering
exposure to a bustling urban healthcare setting with advanced
medical facilities and a collaborative professional culture.
Schedule: - 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Every 3rd weekend, 2:00 p.m.
to 10:30 p.m. - Starting May 18th, shift changes to 1:00 p.m. to
9:30 p.m. for all shifts - Must be available to work holiday shifts
Qualifications & Desired Experience: - Certification: ARRT-R and
BLS required - Minimum of 2 years experience in radiologic
technology - Fluency in Fluoroscopy with GI procedures - Experience
in outpatient and emergency room (ER) imaging - Proficient use of
EPIC electronic health record system - Strong knowledge of
radiographic techniques, patient positioning, and safety protocols
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct radiologic exams as ordered by
physicians, ensuring patient understanding and comfort - Analyze
clinical data and patient medical history to perform accurate
examinations - Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies,
maintaining infection control standards - Operate imaging equipment
manually and apply radiation safety measures following ALARA
principles - Administer and monitor intravenous contrast media,
responding promptly to any adverse reactions - Manage
documentation, study indexing, and image quality control within
PACS and RIS systems - Educate and assist new hires and students
while fulfilling individual operational duties - Demonstrate
professional communication and teamwork aligned with departmental
standards Contract Details: This opportunity is a 13-week contract
