Description American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist
with 2 years of trauma and OR experience for a hospital-based
assignment requiring ARRT certification and MI state license.
Details - Hospital-based position in a diagnostic radiology
department - Assignment in ER or OR with responsibilities for
portable imaging - Serving both young and geriatric patient
populations - Exposure to level I or II trauma cases required - Use
of equipment includes GE, Carestream, and OEC C-Arms - Work
schedule is five 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00am
to 3:30pm, with every other weekend rotation - No call or block
scheduling required - Experience with Cerner EMR required; Epic is
not used - May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
Requirements - Active Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
certification required - Active Michigan state radiology license
required if applicable - Current AHA BLS (Healthcare Provider)
certification required - Minimum of 2 years recent experience in
radiology, including trauma and OR settings - High school diploma
or GED required - Experience with Cerner EMR and specified imaging
equipment Additional Information - Must complete and pass online
modules prior to start during onsite onboarding - Responsible for
explaining procedures, preparing patients and procedure rooms, and
performing radiologic imaging according to protocols - Must follow
principles of radiation protection and infection control practices
- Duties include reviewing clinical data, positioning patients,
administering contrast, and monitoring for adverse reactions -
Expected to document all imaging and related information in both
PACS and RIS systems - Will be involved in training new hires or
students as needed - Must demonstrate strong teamwork, flexibility,
customer service, and respect for diversity - COVID vaccine is
required - Personal protective equipment and adherence to safety
standards are necessary due to possible exposure to radiation,
high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients - Physical ability
to occasionally lift and move equipment or patients exceeding 10
lbs is needed - Every other weekend work required American Traveler
