Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified
Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) University of Toledo – Department
of Anesthesiology : The University of Toledo Department of
Anesthesiology invites applications for a CRNA or CAA to join our
expanding academic health system. This position offers a rewarding
opportunity for Advanced Practice Providers who is committed to
clinical excellence, values education and collaboration, and seeks
the professional fulfillment of academic medicine. Schedule
consists of 10 OR 13 hour shifts, 3 OR 4 days a week. No weekends
and no call are required for this position however, there may be
opportunities to pick up call if preferred. Position Highlights
Provide high-quality anesthesia care across a full spectrum of
general surgical cases with the exception of OBGYN and Pediatrics
Opportunities to teach residents and medical students within an
established academic program Collaborative environment with
surgeons, CRNAs, CAA's, and APPs Mix of inpatient and outpatient
anesthesia services Minimum Qualifications: Education CRNA:
Registered Nurse with completion of an accredited Nurse Anesthetist
training program CAA: Completion of an accredited Anesthesiologist
Assistant training program Licensure and Certification CRNA:
Certification by the National Board of Certification &
Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and Certificate of
Authority to practice as a CRNA issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing
CAA: Certification by the National Commission for Certification of
Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) and Registration with the State
Medical Board of Ohio as an Anesthesiologist Assistant Required
Certifications Active BLS certification ACLS and PALS certification
(must be active within 90 days of hire) Benefits: UTP pension plan
