Job Description:
-- :Performing financial, operational, compliance, and special
project audits as assigned by Internal Audit leadership. Must be
proficient in writing reports and computer skills.WHAT YOU WILL BE
DOING:Assisting in implementing the annual Audit Plan based on risk
assessmentsDeveloping new audit programs or updating existing audit
programsConducting and/or attending meetings and performing audit
researchDetermining whether operating policies and procedures are
adequate to measure and control the economical and efficient use of
resources, and to mitigate riskEnsuring compliance with
regulations, investor guidelines, and company policies and
procedures; and identifying risksEvaluating and assessing the
quality of operations and systems for performance
improvementsObtaining knowledge of process procedures and being
able to provide input on the development of new
proceduresDocumenting work performed and organizing
workpapersCommunicating audit findings and internal control
weaknesses to senior leadershipPreparing written and verbal audit
reports for leadership and the SVP/Head of Internal AuditLeading a
small number of auditors to perform a major auditPerforming complex
auditsLeading in the training of new and existing team members, as
neededAssisting leadership with the review of audit work, as
neededWHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:Must have at least 2 years of mortgage
experienceUndergraduate degree5+ years audit and compliance
experienceKnowledge of financial controlsExperience using MS Office
Suite, AllRegs, loan origination systems, and accounting
systemsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and
writtenExcellent critical thinking and analytical skillsExcellent
judgment skills and ability to formulate audit findings and
recommendationsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently
with very little guidance/supervisionDetail orientedExcellent time
management skillsProficient computer skillsAble to work well with
