Job Description:

As an Application Architect, you'll collaborate with application
development teams to create new tools, implement new frameworks and
conduct proof of concepts for new technologies. We operate in an
Agile environment, with two-week sprints, and work continuous
delivery. Joining UWM as an Application Architect gives you the
opportunity to make a positive impact by helping to shape the
future of how people purchase a home. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Designing and develop extensible enterprise grade software (30-50%
development)
Establishing and promoting best practices and patterns in software
development
Identifying opportunities to create reusable components
Creating and enforcing architecture standards
Mentoring and leading developers
Estimating and delegating tasks for larger projects
Assisting in setting the roadmap for the future technology
stack
Collaborating with other architects, developers and business
clients to develop enterprise-grade software
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: Required: Computer-related degree or
equivalent
7+ years of experience in Software Development (.NET stack
required)
5+ years of experience using web-based technologies (ASP.NET,
JavaScript, CSS)
Relational database experience (SQL, Oracle)
Experience developing enterprise grade software with MVC
Ability to work with limited guidance in a team environment
Experience establishing coding standards
Communicate complex technical issues and solutions in a clear,
simple and understandable way
Experience with UML, BPMN, or other diagraming standards
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Comfortable in a fast-moving environment
Ability to multitask and adapt
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Onsite, full-time attendance Preferred: Extensive experience with
database design
Experience in the mortgage industry
Experience in an agile environment
Intimate understanding of SOLID principles
Familiarity with domain-driven design, CQRS, and event-sourcing
