The Opportunity Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Field Technical Advisor to join our Product Support Team. The Field Technical Advisor is responsible for assisting customers with technical and business issues related to Williams International (W.I.) products and services. Direct onsite support including inspection, trouble shooting and repair of the engines will be required at both domestic and international locations. Candidate will receive after-hours Hot Line phone calls outside of normal work hours. Candidate must be able to coordinate resolution of customer issues. Evaluation of various data will be routinely performed, taking into account cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction. Coordination with multiple groups within the company will be required, including Engineering, Accounts Payable/ Receivables, Repair Station, Shipping and Receiving, etc. - Additional responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate resolution of Engine to Airframe interface related issues at the OEM Aircraft Production Line.
  • Assist customers with business, maintenance, and technical support request submitted to our 24 hours hotline via phone, email, or web based inquires.
  • Dispatch to various locations both domestic and international in support of engine inspection, trouble shooting, and repairs.
  • Assist with Technical Presentations in settings such as technical meetings, customer presentations, and training classes.
  • Evaluate oil filter analysis, Operating Card responses, Field Reports.
  • Assist with fleet analysis tasks.
  • Assist customers with coordination of Repair Station maintenance events including providing regular status updates and technical guidance. Qualifications
    • A relevant Bachelor's Degree is required. Work requires job knowledge and skills gained with 5 years of experience in turbine engine maintenance, aircraft operations, or engineering.
    • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
    • FAA Mechanics Certification with a Powerplant Rating is required.
    • Must be able to support a unique work schedule and be willing to accept calls outside of normal work hours in support of customer inquiries. Ability to coordinate and support short notice travel to both domestic and international locations is needed.
    • Valid US Passport.
    • Capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches, capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum).
    • U.S. citizenship is required.
    • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
