Job Description:
Job Summary
Assists with legal procedures and conducts legal research.
Depending on area of assignment, may review and track case file
information for accuracy. Regularly consults with representatives
from outside agencies for case status information (such as
probation officers, Department of Human Services' workers).
Performs various routine and ad hoc computer operations. In the
Prosecuting Attorney's office, assists attorneys in special units,
Litigation, or Appellate offices. May compile, analyze, and report
on information from primary and secondary legal sources, assist
attorneys in court and perform related clerical procedures as
assigned. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific
software to complete assignments.
Minimum Qualifications

Applicants Must:
1. Possession of a certificate or degree sanctioned by the American
Bar Association as a ParaLegal or Legal Assistant; OR
b. For positions in the Victim/Witness and Domestic Violence units
of the Prosecuting Attorney, possess an Associates Degree in
Criminal Justice, the behavioral sciences, or a related field.
2. Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical
established for the class.
3. Successfully complete the six (6) month probationary period.
College Transcripts
If you have completed education higher than a high school diploma
or GED, you must attach a copy of your official/unofficial
transcript(s) that clearly state the type of degree and date
awarded/conferred, institution name, and applicant name; and is in
a format that cannot be modified or edited. Your application will
not be considered for further review if you have failed to provide
this information. Transcripts from outside the United States must
be assessed for U.S. equivalency by a NACES National Association of
Credential Evaluation Services (). This documentation must be
attached to your application if you are certifying you have an
education higher than high school/GED.

transcript will be required.
