Job Description:
Die Welders are highly skilled employees responsible for weld
repair of dies, inserts and other specialized die components parts
and devices used on manufacturing machines in an automotive
manufacturing plant. The work requires practical skill and
knowledge as a Die Welder to analyze specifications, lay out metal
stock, set up and operate welding equipment, and fit and assemble
parts to repair dies and machine components. The work may require
interpreting specifications, blueprints, manufacturers' manuals,
sketches or similar documents. The candidate must have an
understanding of metallurgy and material specification and the
appropriate welding techniques for material ranging from D2, A2,
O1, CC1, 4140, 6150, 0050, CRS, HRS, Aluminum M2,4,6 and etc. The
candidate must have the ability to plan the sequence of components.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the
ability to problem solve. Candidate must be able to perform
incidental tasks as required to complete the larger task.
