Job Summary

Receives, screens and responds to public inquiries for the Neighborhood & Housing Development Division's federally funded programs including the Home Improvement Program, Rental Development/Preservation Gap Financing, Housing Counseling services, Community Development Block Grant programs and Emergency Solutions Grant programs. Assesses inquiries and refers to appropriate resources and program staff. Receives, coordinates and screens housing assistance applications for preliminary eligibility. Plans and coordinates workshops, meetings and other special functions for the division. Maintains division payroll and procurement activities through the county's established processes. Performs liaison duties with other County divisions. Utilizes current Countywide and/or division-specific software to complete assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

2. Have had two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience assisting the public and assisting

professional-level staff in the compilation and preparation of divisional reports, with at least one (1)

year of experience utilizing a personal computer software application.

NOTE: One (1) year of coursework at an accredited college, university, business, or commercial school in the area of social work, counseling, education, or related coursework may be substituted for one (1) year of the experience up to a total of two (2) years.
