Job DescriptionHonor Community Health is a 501c Federally
Qualified Health Center. Our mission is to provide for the health
and wellness needs of the underserved of Oakland County through the
provision of comprehensive, integrated primary, behavioral health,

required to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine.Position DescriptionThe
Call Center Assistant I is an essential member of a high performing
healthcare team providing indirect patient care by answering
incoming calls from patients, scheduling patient appointments,
answering patient questions and routing calls to appropriate
resources. In addition, the Call Center Assistant I will obtain and
verify patient insurance with the payers. The Call Center Assistant
I will maintain strong internal and external relationships, serving
as liaison on behalf of HONOR COMMUNITY HEALTH's centers and
clinical team. The Call Center Assistant I will interact and
conduct themselves in a professional and positive manner at all
times. The Call Center Assistant I will provide language services
to non-English speaking patients. Works collaboratively to create
and maintain a culture of excellence and dedication to providing
compassionate and high quality health care to residents and the
community.This position reports to the Director, Operations and
Enabling Services. Our standard hours are Monday- Friday, 8:30am-
5:00PMResponsibilities:
- Provides excellent customer service by answering incoming calls
in a courteous and professional manner. Also provides language
services to non-English speaking patients.
- Schedule patient appointments, remind patients of upcoming
appointments and obtain and verify patient information.
- Ensures that all insurance information is received and verified
with the insurance carrier for billing purposes.
- Route patients who require assistance with insurance enrollment
or sliding fee application to appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to the Call Center office workflow.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines as it relates to confidential patient
information.
- Follow proper procedure for data entry and maintenance of
patient data bases.
- Answer patient questions or act as an advocate by directing
them to the proper resources.
- Works well in a fast paced call center setting maintaining the
flexibility necessary to meet HONOR COMMUNITY HEALTH's changing
patient needs and workflow.What are we looking for?
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bi-Lingual required.
- Strong computer skills and experience using Electronic Medical
Records and knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet
preferred.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment and experience
with Federally Qualified Health Centers is highly desired.
