Williams International has an exciting opportunity for aBench Hand
to join our team.The Bench Hand will work within a team environment
and beresponsible for the operation of miscellaneous processes
supporting the production team. Additionally the Bench Hand will
also beresponsible for ensuring the continuous flow of materials
and parts through the assigned cell.
The Bench Hand will also:
- Assembly of manufactured parts following blueprint
- Operation of manufacturing process equipment (heat treat ovens,
precision cleaning, broaching, polishing, and gear checking
- Manufacture and/ or tests parts according to engineering and
customer standards and specifications.
- Basic Lathe and Mill Machining.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities
from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with
engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements
- Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
- Inspect and/or test related activities to ensure that parts are
machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School or GED required
- 0-2 years of doing Bench Assembly
- Experience in lathe and mill machining desirable
- Organization skills for raw material, parts, shelf-life, and
- Effective interaction with team members, customers and all
levels of management
- Ability to follow all safety and planning
- Ability to read, understand, and correctly interpret basic
- Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50
pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a
weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be
able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).
- U.S. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability
to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
