The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Inspector to join our growing team. The Inspector will perform first piece, tool proof, receiving and final inspection.

Additionally, the Inspector will:

Use manual measuring equipment to complete first article inspection

Assemble and complete first article inspections and submissions

Conduct incoming inspection and buy off of supplier parts / paperwork

Light operation of CMMs (running parts on existing programs)

Participate in inspection and/ or testing related activities to ensure that parts are manufactured in accordance with the manufacturing standards and specifications

Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces

Assist with testing of parts / samplesaccording to engineering and customer standards and specifications.

Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the Cell

Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained

Adhere to all safety standards and regulations

Strive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput

Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge of GD&T and blue print reading is required.

2-5 years experience in aerospace or automotive receiving / inspection is desirable

Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).

U.S. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
