In this position, the candidate will play a key role in improving the overall Information Security posture at United Wholesale Mortgage. We have experienced explosive growth as a leader in the Financial Services industry, and we are looking for a talented Information Security professional to help improve the ability to detect and respond to malicious activity through adversary emulation and structured offensive security exercises.The Offensive Security Engineer will report directly to and support the Information Security Team Lead, as well as the Chief Information Security Officer. By embracing adversarial thinking, the Offensive Security Engineer will manage and sustain an offensive security program focused on new offensive methodologies and adversary emulation while fostering a positive relationship with our defensive security counterparts.We are looking for someone with a strong background in information security with a passion for penetration testing and a strong desire to drive information security improvements across the enterprise.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Perform manual penetration tests of network services, network infrastructure, IoT devices, and softwareClearly document and communicate findings and remediation recommendations to leadership and device/software ownersPartner with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to operationalize new detection conceptsConduct vulnerability research and participate in exploit developmentCollaborate and assist with threat hunting activitiesSupport Risk Assessments, Third Party Penetration Tests, Vulnerability Assessments, Incident Response and Investigation, and Cybercrime ResponseWHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:Must Have Qualifications:3-5 years of experience in Information Security in roles of increasing responsibility, resulting in strong familiarity with security concepts and disciplinesExtensive experience with offensive security tools, concepts and proceduresStrong ability to understand security concepts and effectively communicate with an Information Security team, IT Operations team, and Application Development team, including all domains of information securityHighly ethical with excellent written communication skills, along with outstanding analytic, problem solving and decision making skillsNice to Have Qualifications:Four year degree in a relevant field preferred or an equivalent amount of post-secondary education and experienceGPEN, eCPPT, OSCP or other pertinent industry-recognized certificationsExperience in the mortgage or financial services industryTHE PLACE & THE PERKS:Ready to join thousands of talented team members who are making the dream of home ownership possible for more Americans?
