Wachter is currently seeking data technicians to work on a large supply chain fulfillment center in Pontiac, MI. Candidates must have strong knowledge of data and structured cabling methods and standards, experience in fulfillment centers preferred. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who can work independently and find solutions to get jobs done.--Applicants must meet company standards in relation to background and driving record. Pay is negotiable and will be based on experience. Looking for a reliable technician with diverse knowledge of the telecommunications cabling industry. Responsibilities: * Technician will need to be physically able to complete any portion of the installation and needs to be comfortable working 50 to 60 hours a week for the duration of the project.* Strong knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA). Please list certifications if any. * Must be comfortable working unsupervised and/or with teams of 4 to 20 other technicians.* Must provide own PPE and Hand ToolsSkill Set:* Ability to read and comprehend blue prints.* Experience with installing mile(s) of outdoor fiber optic and copper runs. * Strong knowledge of Fiber optic fusion splicing preferred. * Able to read and trouble shoot OTDR readings. * Scissor Lift operation is required. Some work will be performed by Articulating boom lifts. * Experience in Fulfillment Centers* OSP Fiber Experience preferred but not required. * Cat6 through Cat6A data cabling.* Can neatly dress and terminate large bundles of cables inside IDF and MDF cabinets.#cbHeadquartered in Lenexa, KS, Wachter is a nationwide technology integrator and electrical contractor.
