Job Description:

Maintenance TechnicianThe role of a Maintenance TechnicianProvide production support by performing setup, troubleshooting & operations of automated welding cells within a production facility, as well as implementing best practices and proactively assessing welding/robotic applications, as well as Auto Technician Trainees.Training of a Maintenance Technician We offer paid training at $17.50 an hour which lasts anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. Training starts at 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. You will be assessed after completing our training and your compensation will be determined once you're placed, this will be dependent on your skillset.Your responsibilities as a Maintenance TechnicianTechnicians will be responsible for keeping the robots up and running. They will not be programming from scratch but need to be able to get the robots back to "home" or up and running.Demonstrate proficiency while troubleshooting automated welding cells to effect permanent change in order to eliminate cell downtime.An understanding of welding fundamentals and theory.Basic troubleshooting and adjustments of weld fixtures.Follow all customer and plant safety protocols.Can troubleshoot, repair, and program resistance and MIG welding equipment.Understanding of shimming processes.Work independentlyWork environment / physical demands of a Maintenance TechnicianFrequent exposure to noise, fumes, dirt, heat, sparks, and smokeMay also be exposed to water, vibration, dust, grease, and oilExposure to high and low voltage components and systemsFrequently walks, bends, twists, turns, and lifts while performing functions of positionWorking with/around moderately sized equipment within work areaPPE required; Eye protection, hearing protection, cut resistant arm guards (when handling metal)Frequently entering weld cells with high-speed heavy equipmentWhen working in electrical cabinets, controller cabinets etc., potential for Arc Flash hazardEducation, experience and job requirements of a Maintenance TechnicianHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)Excellent verbal communication skills (required)Experience with Microsoft applications (i.e., word, excel, outlook, etc.) (required)Maintenance Technician benefitsPaid vacation timeMedical (Employee portion paid 100%DentalVisionShort- and long-term disability paidVoluntary life insurance401kYearly anniversary & birthday gifts$50 monthly cellphone reimbursementCompany supplied shirts & jacketsYearly boot allowance ($150)Help with travel arrangementsAfter hours admin & management supportReferral ProgramPowered by JazzHRPI177051897SDL2017
