Plumbing/Electrical/Mechanical Inspectors Pontiac, MI **Min Education:** HS Diploma**Minimum Experience:** 2 yearsCandidates must have a minimum of two or more years of experience, a valid driver's license and be licensed by the State of Michigan under Public Act 407 in Plumbing, Electrical and/or Mechanical plan reviews and inspections. Specialized experience in a municipal environment is highly preferred. Typical responsibilities include: * Enforce city building, property maintenance, rental and vacant property, zoning and business licensing ordinances * Review plans and inspect sites for municipal, industrial and residential projects * Interact with residents, property owners, and business owners to investigate complaints and ensure compliance with all city ordinances * Issue citations as needed* Write and submit reports for each inspection * Participate in court hearings as needed * Assist supervisor as needed * Maintain excellent client relations * Maintain a safe working environment
